MAGASEEN is a queer knowledge and media platform that produces and curates critical, cultural, and political content grounded in the Syrian and regional context, centering the voices of queer and marginalized communities.
MAGASEEN seeks to challenge the monopoly over dominant narratives, deconstruct prevailing discourses, and create space for expression, analysis, and community participation—beyond conventional and normative media frameworks.
Rooted in the belief that knowledge and media are tools of both resistance and collective reconstruction, MAGASEEN understands content production in contexts of repression, marginalization, and silenced voices as a political and communal act. It aims to redefine who owns the story, who tells it, and for what purpose.
MAGASEEN offers diverse content formats, including opinion articles, news, blog posts, cultural and artistic materials, and community contributions, with a particular focus on queer, feminist, and intersectional issues in Syria and the wider region.
